Michael Collins was born and raised in St. John’s, graduating from Memorial University of Newfoundland (B.A. (Pure Mathematics) (2006); B.Mus (Hons) (Violin Performance) (2006)) and from the University of Toronto (J.D., 2009). After articling at a large Toronto firm, he returned to St. John’s and worked as a research lawyer at the Newfoundland and Labrador Court of Appeal. He has since worked as Associate Counsel at the Muskrat Falls Inquiry, as a law clerk with Justice Rowe at the Supreme Court of Canada, and is currently practicing with Goodland Buckingham in St. John’s.
