Bernice Hancock

Bernice is the Executive Director of the Community Education Network for Southwestern Newfoundland, a collaborative community-based organization whose mandate includes working with a variety of stakeholders to facilitate a coordinated approach to service delivery based on identified individual, family, and community needs. Her formal education includes a B.A. in Community Studies and Diplomas in Adult Education and Business Administration. She has over 35 years work and volunteer experience with a variety of community-based organizations advocating for equitable services and developing and implementing inclusive programs and initiatives for children, families, youth, and adults living in rural and remote communities. Bernice lives in the town of Stephenville on the southwest coast of Newfoundland and is the proud mother of two grown sons and grandmother (Nanny) to three young grandchildren.
